As Children of God and Christians, we must live our lives watching and waiting for the return of our Lord knowing that some day we will stand before Him and give an account of the life we lived here. Our lives are really not our own. We say you only live once, why not live it for the One who loved you and gave Himself up for you? Why take a chance on your eternity?

Hear the Lord's words to us in Luke 12:34-40

"Vs34...For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Vs 35 Let your loins be girded about, and your light burning; 36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord, when He returns from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto Him immediately.
Vs 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Vs 38 And if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
Vs 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
Vs 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not."

Let’s take special heed to what our King says in vs 40.

He admonishes us to be READY.

In Mark 13:32-33" But of that day and that hour knowth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is."

Remember, the ten virgins in Matthew 25? Five were wise and 5 were foolish. The foolish once didn't carry oil in their lamps, lived for their own pleasure but the 5 wise virgins carried the oil in their lamps, lived for the coming of the Bridegroom.

The Lord is calling us to be like the wise virgins. Remember He told us to be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. (Matt 10:16)

The price for our redemption was the blood and life of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Most High God! He didn't die to give us a religion! He came that we may have Life - Him! He is not interested in our service to Him if we are lukewarm. He said He will spill us out of His mouth if we are lukewarm! We can confidently say that's a promise from Jesus to us because He does what He says!

If we desire to know Him and burn with passion for Him, we must consciously decide to spend quality time alone with Him everyday, feed and meditate on His love letter (Word of God) to us, pray (especially praying in the Spirit) and obey all that He tells us from the written word then we will see our hearts explode with Love for the One who loved us, washed us in His blood and gave His life up for us.

He strongly desires a deep and meaningful relationship with you and I. He desires to share His heart with us. Prov. 1:23

I heard a Preacher, Joe Sweet say " When we talk about Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts, we often think He was talking of unbelievers but when we carefully read Rev 3:20, Jesus was talking to the church. He was talking to you and I"

Apostle Paul and Peter reminds us that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth. We are only passing through here unto eternity. Our lives are like vapors! Here today and gone tomorrow! If you died NOW where will you be my friend? After we have given an account of our lives what will be our fate? Remember God is Just! Heaven or hell? We all pray for long life but we truly don't know when our time in this life up.

Let's return back to the Lord! Elohim is calling! Let him that has a ear hear what the Spirit is saying.

God doesn't send anybody to hell, our choices do. Please my dear friends, it's wisdom to choose God - Life. For us who already know Jesus Christ, let's press deeper into Him. So that when we appear before the Judgement seat of Christ, we will not be ashamed! I pray we shall hear 'thou good and faithful servant'. Eternity is real. I beg you with the mercies of God- please choose God.

For you who hasn't accepted Jesus Christ, He loves you and died for you. He is eager to have a real and passionate relationship with you. He's a perfect gentleman, unless you let Him in , He wouldn't force Himself on you. Tell Him right now, "Jesus Christ I believe you are the Son of the Living God. Please come into my heart and be my Saviour and Lord from today until you return to take me to be with you forever." Amen.

If you said that prayer, congratulations and welcome into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Please look for a bible believing church and enjoy your walk with Jesus Christ - the Son of the Most High God!

I will leave you with the words of Christ in Revelation 22:12 "And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according to his work shall be."

PRAYER

Lord, I ask that you help me in my daily walk to continually burn with zeal for you and you alone. Help me to take heed, watch and pray so when You return I will not be found wanting. Holy Spirit, I ask that I might know you intimately in Jesus name. Amen
