"Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat and the body more than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?....
Vs 32: For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWETH that ye need all these things.
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6-25-26; 32-33.
I went to a big store some days ago to get my medication. As I walked out of the store, I saw this bird fly down, pick up a piece of bread/meat and flew away with its' food.
Then I called to remembrance the above verses... God provided a meal for that bird that blessed evening!
The bird didn't have to do anything to be fed. But its creator provided a meal for it.
What about you and I that He so loved and loves? Ponder on this!
Take a look at the grasses, He clothes them! What about you and I who He gave His most priced possession- Christ for our redemption.
Jesus admonished us to BEHOLD- to observe the birds, the gasses and the lilies! Let's make it a conscious decision to behold the birds and the grasses and see how our Heavenly Father cares for them and therefore, find rest for our souls and also focus on the one thing needful-JESUS CHRIST.
This doesn't mean that we don't go about our God given jobs or businesses. But we must decide not to worry about our needs. For He is our source and if a channel( job/ business) dries up, we know that our Source will always provide for us.
Remember Elijah and the Ravens coupled with the widow of Zarephath? 1 Kings 17: 1-16. When one channel dried up, our Source had made provision already for His prophet. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He doesn't change! We are truly blessed to have such a sweetheart as Our Father.
Dear brothers and sisters, we have a good good Father! Whatever your needs are, He knows about them. Remember Ps 23:1 " The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want."
Remember that He tenderly loves and cares for you! You are so loved by GOD!
REST IN YOUR FATHER'S LOVE FOR YOU.
